I am yet another member of our board who has a long history in the sport of karting. First turning a steering wheel at the age of 12 in Katy, Texas, I raced in the early and mid 80s in Texas and Illinois. After taking a sabbatical for a few years to finish high school and get my Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Science at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA, I returned to the sport I love in the mid 90s and I’ve been a fixture for the last 20 years in both the Southern California and the national karting scene. I entered the business of karting in the year 2000, managing Pitts Performance for a few years until going out on my own in late 2002, starting Full Throttle Karting in Orange, CA. A couple of years later, I added Series Promoter to my resume, running the Gatorz Karting Cup and then the very successful Rotax Challenge of the Americas. As a racer, I was the 2004 US Rotax Masters Champion and have been the only driver to race in Rotax Masters at every single US Nationals, a 13 year streak that is due to end this year. I have served on several karting boards, such as N.A.K.A, the US RMC Advisory committee and I currently serve at the WKA District 10 Trustee. I was also just recently announced as the US RMC Director and the Official Entrant for Team USA for the 2015 Rotax World Finals. When I’m not at the track, I am usually watching my son Trevor (14) play club basketball and daughter Grace (11) play club volleyball.
